Hello, I'm Brendan Anderson, a third-year Law and Commerce student at the University of New South Wales.

I begun playing chess tournaments when I started high school. I originally studied chess through books and game collections, though now have shifted to mostly using online resources. My best results include placing 2nd in the NSW Junior Championships 2021 and achieving a provisional Fide Master title at the Oceania Zonal Championships in 2023.

As the two-time President of the UNSW Chess Club, I have also been involved in organising chess events and promoting chess to a wide variety of age groups and skill levels.

I have taught chess at JZMC for over 2 years, including twice at the Australian Junior Chess Championships. I focus on providing all students with a solid foundation from which to build their own style, by practicing essential endgames and strategic ideas. I look forward to seeing my students grow in strength and achieve great results.
