Aidan Odenthal

Hi, my name is Aidan Odenthal and I am the intermediate level coach for JZMC. I have over 10 years experience playing chess and I am excited to share my passion for chess with my students. I currently play chess tournaments for my university and actively volunteer as a social media subcommittee member by promoting events of my university’s chess club on multiple social media platforms.

I play at a national level in junior tournaments and adult tournaments with the achievement I am most proud of being 5th place at the 2020 Australian Junior Chess Championship, with other major achievements including coming in 8th place at the 2018 Australian Junior Championships U’18 Division, winning the 3rd board prize at the Australian Schools Team Championships in 2017, and winning the Doeberl Cup Minor Division in 2018 and the U’1200 division in 2016.
