AJCC 2025 Report

JZMC has been privileged to send big groups joining in Australian Junior Chess Championship in 2023 and 2024 (There were two-year pause in 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic). Website Link: https://www.jzmasterchess.com/news

January 13-21 2025 in Perth WA, 70+ young players from NSW participated in AJCC this year, out of which 30+ are from JZMC Group.

Great atmosphere: families travelling together, supporting each other and building friendships.

On-site coaching

NSW has the tradition of sending coaches to help out young players prepare and learn from each game, which many families and students found beneficial. This year the three coaches were IM Mihajlo Radovanovic (NSWJCL Nomination) FM Alexis Vargas Arteaga (NSWJCL Nomination) and CM Brendan Anderson (JZMC).

Improvement and Inspiration

Vast majority of our students finished top half of their divisions in the national event. It is pretty inspiring to see our kids making progress as a group year by year.
